Rev. Carl Kruger, formerly a resident of the Fontanelle neighborhood, and for a number of years a Lutheran pastor at Hooper, died at his home in New York City last Saturday evening after an illness of a few months duration. He was born in Germany and came to America in his early manhood. He was married to Miss Sophia Sprick at Fontanelle in 1886, and to this union five children were born, all of whom are living. For twenty five years he was a member of the Midland college faculty, which was then located at Aitchison, Kansas, but in 1918 he removed to New York since which he has been engaged in the ministry. Surviving him are his bereaved wife, four sons and one daughter. The deceased was an uncle of Alfred O. Sick of this city.
