#2-5 Dec., 1929 - The Pilot-Tribune

The sad news of the death of Mrs. Peter Goldberg at her home in Omaha on Friday reached here Saturday morning. She has been in failing health for the past few years, gradually becoming worse the past few weeks until death released her. She was a former resident of Washington county, having lived during the late 90’s in the Orum neighborhood, coming to the small farm just southwest of Kennard where Roy Casey now lives, about 1908. While living here she took an active part in the various organizations of the Methodist church where she made many friends by her unfailing kindliness and cheerfulness. About 1915 they moved to Fremont where they spent a few years before moving to Omaha to live. She is survived by her husband, one son, James of Santa Ano, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. Anita James of Omaha, one brother, Hans Lyck in Oregon and three sisters, Mrs. Fred Jorgensen, Mrs. Christine Sorensen and Mrs. Hans Andersen, all of Omaha. Also a host of other relatives and score of friends. Funeral services were held at the Wesley Methodist church in Omaha at 2 p.m. Monday with interment in an Omaha cemetery. We extend sympathy to the bereaved family. ~~~Obituaries courtesy of the Nebraska Washington County Genealogical Society. Newspaper clippings on file in the Blair, Nebraska Public Library~~~
