HERMAN RESIDENT DIES AT HIS HOME

Curtis E. Hover County Resident For 30 Years

Curtis E. Hover, for thirty years a resident of Herman, was found dead in his bed Saturday morning, November 23. He had died of heart trouble and was over 76 years of age. His death came just three months and two days after the passing away of his wife, to whom also death came with hardly a moment’s warning. He had been in poor health for months. Funeral services were held from the Herman Baptist Church last Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Bauer of Lincoln officiating, after which interment was made in the Herman Cemetery.

The deceased was born at Jamestown, Pennsylvania April 24, 1853, and came to Nebraska in 1884. In September 1886 he was married to Miss Emma Squires at Omaha, and to this union seven children were born, five of whom survive him. Surviving him are three sons, John Hoover of Herman, Jesse Hoover of this city and Harvey Hoover of Jersington, Nevada; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Stokes of Saskatchewan, Canada, and Verna Hoover of Herman. He also leaves a sister, Mr. Elizabeth Artman of Jamestown, Pennsylvania and a brother, James L. Hover of Kinsman, Ohio.
