FORMER BLAIR MAN DIES

Herbert Viele, better known to Blair’s older residents as Bert Viele, died at his home in Caldwell, Kansas on Tuesday, September 10.

Mr. Viele came to Blair in 1875 and made this his home until 1902 when he moved to Caldwell, Kansas where he resided until his death. He married a Blair girl, Miss Helen Fairchild in 1892, and to this union four children were born, all of whom survived.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 12 and interment was made in the Caldwell cemetery.

Many Blair people will remember the deceased and will grieve to learn of his death.
