Word was just received here by friends of the death of Mrs. J. A. Steele, a former old time Arlington resident who passed away several days ago at her home in Fullerton, Calif., following an illness of several month’s duration. The deceased left here about seven years ago, moving to Lincoln and then to California where she has lived the past three years. Mrs. Stele was always prominent in church and social activities here, and was still a member of Serepta Chapter, O.E.S. of this place at the time of her death. Funeral services were held at Fullerton on Wednesday. Surviving are two daughters, Misses Mary and Fannie Steel of Fullerton and one son, Robert, who lives in Oklahoma.

Word was received here of the recent death at Fullerton, Calif. of Mrs. J. A. Steel. Mrs. Steel was for many years an Arlington resident and while here was very active in church and lodge work. She was a member of the O.E.S. lodge and American Legion Auxiliary. The family left here several years ago, and after the death of Mr. Steel at Milford, Neb. Mrs. Steel went out to California to be near her daughters who were teaching in that state. She is survived by three children, Misses Fannie and Mary Steele of Fullerton and Robert Steel, who lives in Oklahoma. Mrs. Steel has many friends here who will regret to learn of her being called by death.
