Mrs. Paul Meyer, for many years a respected resident of Arlington, passed from this life at her home early in the morning of July 3rd after a lingering illness of several months. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon, July 5th at 2 o’clock, conducted b Rev. J. E. Aeschbacher and burial took place in the Arlington cemetery. Mrs. Meyer was born in Germany April 27, 1868 where she grew to womanhood. In 1891 she came to the United States where she was united in marriage to Paul Meyer November 29, 1891 at Detroit, Michigan. They lived for four years at this place, then name to Nebraska where they made their home in Fremont for several years. In 1899 they came to Arlington and this place has been their home continuously since. Mrs. Meyer was at the devoted and loving mother of seven children, one son, the oldest, preceding her in death when but six years of age, the remaining children are: Mrs. Rhea Gilroy and Mrs. Roscoe Pearce of Omaha, Mrs. C. C. Cook of Arlington, Mrs. James Cornelius and Otto Meyer of Petaluma, Calif., and Ernest Meyer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is also survived by her husband, five grandchildren and a brother and sister in Germany. Mrs. Mayer was an excellent neighbor and true friend as well as a devoted wife and mother, and will be missed by a large circle of friends who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.

ARLINGTON NOTES

Funeral services for Mrs. Paul Meyer, who passed away here at her home early on the morning of July 3rd, were conducted from the family residence on Friday afternoon at two o’clock by Rev. J. E. Aeschbacher of the Congregational church. Emma Kellerman was born in Barmen, Wiehlinghausen, Germany on April 27, 1868 where she grew to young womanhood. In 1891 she came to America, going to Detroit, Mich. where she was united in marriage to Paul Meyer on November 29th of the same year, he having preceded her to this country a short time before. They made their home in Detroit for four years, then moved to Nebraska settling in Fremont where they resided for four years. In 1899 they came to Arlington where they have made their home continuously since. To this union seven children were born, three sons and four daughters, the oldest son preceding her in death at the age of six years. The children, who with their father, survive are: Mrs. Rhea Gilroy of Omaha, Mrs. C. C. Cook of Arlington, Mrs. Roscoe B. Pearce of Omaha, Mrs. James Cornelius of Petaluma, Calif., Otto of Petaluma, Calif., and Ernest of Sioux Falls, S. D. She is also survived by a brother an sister in Germany and five grandchildren.
