18 July, 1929 - The Enterprise

Wm. Gray, who has for some time been making his home here with his son, Chas., suffered a paralytic stroke Wednesday afternoon, and passed from this life Friday afternoon, July 12, 1929. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon at two o’clock, conducted by Rev. C. C. Norlin, and the body was shipped to Stanton, Mich. to be laid to rest beside his wife, who died at the family home there about six years ago. Charles accompanied the body. On account of no trains running that day, the body was taken to Omaha by auto hearse. Mr. Gray had been in his usual health recently, and he enjoyed unusual good health for one of his years. He was seated in a chair at the Herman filling station, which his son operates, when the attack came. Dr. Cameron was called, and he was immediately moved to the home where he was given every attention and kind and loving care. Surviving are three sons, Stanley of Orchard, Neb., C. R. of Herman and Ralph of Stanton, Mich., who have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
