ED SHEETS OF HERMAN DIES

Had Lived in Washington County All His Life

Ed Sheets of Herman died at an Omaha hospital last Tuesday afternoon following an illness of but three days duration. He submitted to an operation for a perforated gallbladder and peritonitis, but never recovered. He was born May 17, 1878 on a farm northwest of Blair, and was 52 years of age at his death. When he was 12 years old he moved with his parents to Herman and has lived in that city since that time.

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Baptist church with the Rev. C. C. Norlin officiating, after which interment was made in the Blair Cemetery. He is survived by three brothers, Charles A., Dan O., and Will L. Sheets, all residing in or near Herman, and Frank Harris, a half brother, living in Burt county.

Ed Sheets was taken very ill on Saturday night, and on Tuesday they took him to a hospital in Omaha where they operated on him at one, from which he never rallied. The gallbladder was perforated and peritonitis had set in. Ed was born May 17, 1878 on a farm near Blair. He had made his home in Herman for 39 years. His father died in 1907 and mother passed away three months ago. He made his home with his mother. There are three brothers, Dan O., Charles A. and Will L. Sheets and one half brother, Frank Harris, who was in the hospital at the time of Ed’s death. The funeral was held Thursday at the Baptist church. Rev. C. C. Norlin, pastor of the Methodist church had charge of the services. The music by Mrs. George Lowe, Mrs. C. E.Johnson, Fred Robertson and C. R. Gray, Mrs. O. H. Godsey pianist.
