Mrs. Charles McKennan, for many years a resident of Arlington vicinity, passed away at her home in Fremont Friday night, June 7th. Mrs. McKennan, who was 67 years of age, had been ill for about two years. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 o’clock in the Arlington Congregational church. The services were conducted by Rev. W. D. Smith of Kennard and burial took place in the Arlington cemetery. Mrs. McKennan was a sister to Henry Close of this place. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and several children, Mrs. C. B. Augustus of Fremont, Frank of California, Rollo in Wyoming, Mrs. F. C. Bricker of Fremont and seventeen grandchildren, also a sister, Mary E. Crist of Eustis. Mrs. McKennan was born October 2, 1861 in Boscabel, Wis., and when only 6 years of age her family moved to Arlington vicinity where she spent all her life until moving to Fremont five years ago. Mrs. McKennan, in her long residence here, made many friends who extend their sympathy to the bereaved family.
