The community was saddened last Monday afternoon, May 6th, when it became known that Roger Bisbee, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bisbee who live north of town, had passed away from this life after a short illness from pneumonia. Roger, who was a boy of great promise was just completing the 10th grade of school, and while absent on the school’s annual sneak day, he became seriously ill, all that loving care could do was done for him, there being three nurses in attendance, but it was decreed that he had to go. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational church, Rev. Ashford of Exeter, formerly of this place and a close friend of the family, conducted the services. The large number of friends present at the church and the wealth of beautiful flowers testified to the esteem in which Roger and his sorrowing parents are held in the community. Interment was in Arlington cemetery. Roger Bisbee was born August 17, 1913; he is survived by his parents and one brother, William and many friends who mourn his early passing. the sympathy of all in the community goes out to the sorrowing parents and brother.
