AGED RESIDENT DIES

Mrs. B. T. George Succumbs to Illness on Sunday Morning

Mrs. Katherine Armstrong George died at her home last Sunday morning, April 17th, after a lingering illness of several years. For a long time she had been troubled with cancer, and her death was not unexpected.

The deceased was born in Illinois on November 22, 1848, and lived there until she was twenty years of age when she came to this county with her parents. In 1871 she was married to B. T. George, and the couple moved to this city where they have since made their home. Two children were born to this union, one daughter, Mrs.Timothy Johnson, having preceded her in death in 1909.

She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her bereaved husband, one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Antrim of this city; one brother, Wm. Armstrong and three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Wilson and Mrs. J. E. McCracken of Blair; and Mrs. Lafayette Davis of Blue Springs, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the Bendorf funeral chapel, the Rev. W. H. Underwood officiating, after which the body was laid to rest in the Blair cemetery.
