Stewart Edwards, aged seventy six years, passed away July 28, 1931 at the home of his son, Harry Edwards, as the result of a stroke of apoplexy after suffering for fifteen days.

Deceased was born in Burnsville, Ohio March 15, 1855. In early childhood the family moved to Washington County where he grew to manhood. He was married to Mary Morgan in 1874, and to this union seven children were born, six of whom still survive. On June 28, 1890 the wife passed away, and later he moved to Arkansas where he lived to six years. Here he met and married Viola Grammar, and to this union six children were born.

Besides the wife, he leaves the twelve children, Jessie McCracken of Fremont, James and Harry of Kennard, Minnie Carmichael and Dave Edwards of Omaha, Mrs. E. E. Epperly of Blair, Carl of Blair, Grant of Pittsburg, Penn and Irene Whitney of Blair and Merton, Chris and Carletta at home on the farm near Blair. He leaves a sister at Salesville, Ohio and ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church at Kennard at two o’clock last Thursday afternoon, and interment was made in the Kennard Cemetery.
