William H. King was born in Illinois Sept., 1857, and departed this life July 28, 1931 in the 74th year of his life. Last April he came to Nebraska to make his home with his granddaughter, Mrs. Violet Johnson of Blair.

The family was making preparations to start for Pasadena, Calif., to visit Mrs. W. H. Nelson, Mrs. Johnson’s sister, when Mr. King fell and sustained injuries which caused his death.

Mr. King was a member of the Christian church.

The deceased leaves to mourn his departure two sisters living in Illinois and two Granddaughters, Mrs. W. H. Nelson of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Violet Johnson of Blair.

The funeral was held in the Christian church, Greenwood, Neb. at two p.m. July 30. A. J. Hargett, minister of the Christian church of Blair officiated. Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
