Hans Barnhold was born in Germany July 29, 1855, and came to America when about twenty years of age, and most of the time since coming to this county has been spent in Blair. He was a man of excellent character and lived a life free from censure. He passed away last Friday morning from an attack of heart trouble at the age of 76 years and 1 month.

The funeral services were held from the German Lutheran church last Sunday at two p.m., and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

He leaves to mourn his death one sister, Mrs. Deitrich Schmidt of Blair and two nephews, Henry Schmidt of Winslow and Hans Schmidt of Calhoun.
