RICHARD DANIELS

Richard Daniels, aged 66 years, passed away at his home on east Nebraska street Sunday, August 16 at two a.m. His death was due to a paralytic stroke, and his illness lasted for three weeks.

He was a Spanish American War veteran, having served in the third Nebraska Company E. For the past seven years he and his wife have made their homes at the Soldiers Home at Grand Island, and were on a visit to Blair when he was stricken.

Deceased was born in Harrison County, Iowa, but came to Blair when but a boy, and has since made this his home. He was married in 1892 to Cora Ellen Parker, and to this union six children were born, four of whom are still living. They are Rachael Minor of Nebraska City, James Daniels of Tekamah, John Daniels and Minera Salisbury of Blair.

The funeral services were held at 2 p.m. from the home on Tuesday, and interment was made in Blair Cemetery.
