CHARLES A. WARRICK

Charles A. Warrick was born at Blair, Neb., February 11, 1872, and died at Denver, Colorado September 24, 1931, aged 59 years, 7 months and 13 days.

He was married to Addie E. Bottorff May 24, 1899 at Omaha, Neb. In May 1918 he moved with his family to Peetz, Colorado, where he has made his home since.

He is survived by his wife and the following children: Roland V. of Blair, Wynette G. of Redfield, South Dakota, Mrs. Wilma Husk of Peetz, Colorado, Mrs. Adelaide Calland of Greeley, Colorado, Mrs. Arlene Graham of White River, South Dakota, Marjorie, Betty, Rosella and John, at home; also two brothers, L. H. of Lorenzo, Neb., and Neum of Blair; four sisters, Mrs. Lizie Dixon of Lincoln, Mrs. S. S. Dixon of Arlington, Mrs. John Compton of Blair and Mrs. Esther Overmeyer of Boise, Idaho, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

He was a Spanish-American War Veteran, having served from May 28, 1898 until May 11, 1899. He was a member of the Spanish War Veteran’s Camp No. 1 of Denver, Colorado; a member of the I.O.O.F. and Rebekah lodges of Peetz, Colorado, and of the I.O.O.F. Encampment of Sterling, Colorado. In 1893 he became a member of the Baptist church at Blair, Neb.

A funeral service was held at Sterling, Colorado on Saturday, September 26, and the body was brought to Blair for interment.

Funeral services were held from the local Baptist church last Sunday with Rev. Moran of the Baptist church officiating, assisted by Rev. A. J. Hargett of the Christian church, and under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. lodge of which he was a member. At the grave the American Legion sounded taps and fired the salute.

Thus ended the life of a kind and loving husband and father, and a loyal neighbor.
