Miss Ruth Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Davis of Belden, Nebr., but formerly of Blair, passed away last Friday, October 2 at the Immanuel hospital in Omaha. She underwent an operation on July 2, but seemed to rally and took up her work as a teacher, but after eight days, she was compelled to quit. She returned to the Immanuel hospital where she passed away.

Deceased at her death was 25 years, 11 months and 2 days old. She was born in Emerson, Iowa, but later the family moved to Nebraska, and something like ten years ago they moved to Blair. While here she graduated from the high school and attended Dana College for three years. later she attended the state university where she graduated in 1927.

The body was brought to Blair, and on Sunday was taken to the old home at Emerson, Iowa where the funeral services were held with Rev. O. U. McProud officiating, and interment was made in the Emerson cemetery.

Besides the parents, she leaves a sister, Mrs. Ray T. Smith of Sheldahl, Iowa and a brother, Dean at home who mourn her loss very deeply.
