MRS. JESSE HANSEN

Mrs. Jesse Hansen of near Orum passed away Sunday morning, November 8. She had been taken to the M. E. hospital in Omaha where she underwent a Caesarian operation on Thursday evening, November 5th, from which she failed to recover.

Mabel Edna Henthorne was born at Fairmont, Neb., June 19, 1888, and was married in Blair March 27, 1904 to Jesse Hansen of Near Orum.

Since marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hansen have made their home on a farm near Orum, and have been blessed with a family of thirteen children, three of whom are deceased. Mrs. Hansen was a member of the Methodist church, and lived the part of a faithful Christian wife and mother.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Elvaretta Henthorne, and one brother, Vern Alvin Henthorne of Kennard; also her husband, Jesse Hansen and ten children: Avis, Lester, Earl, Gertrude, Elva, Roy, Kenneth, Opal, Beulah and the newborn baby boy. All the children live at home with the exception of Lester, who is married and lives south of blair, and Gertrude who is employed in Fremont.

The funeral services were held Tuesday at two p.m. from the Orum church with Rev. Norlin of Herman officiating, and interment was made in the Orum cemetery.

The sympathies of the entire community go out to the bereaved husband and family in this their great sorrow.
