JENS PETERSEN

Jens Petersen, 78, 2122 Avenue E, Council Bluffs, Iowa, died at his home early Monday evening, December 15, of heart disease following an illness of several hours.

Born in Denmark, he came to Council Bluffs where he lived til 1906.

At that time he moved to a farm near Blair, where he resided until his retirement five years ago. Since then he has divided his time between his home in Council Bluffs and that of his daughter, Mrs. Fred H. Jensen at Blair.

Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Maren Petersen, two sons, Chris Petersen of Little Sioux, Iowa and John Petersen of Blair, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Jensen of Blair and Miss Hannah Petersen of Council Bluffs and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the residence in Council Bluffs, after which the body was brought to the Methodist church at Blair, where a short service was held. Interment was made in Blair cemetery.
