Funeral services for Dr. Ralph A. Gilfry were conducted from the M. E. church here on Friday afternoon, Rev. A. J. Edgar officiating. Deceased was born in Arlington on June 4, 1902. He attended the high school, graduating in 1920, and then took a course at the state university, receiving his degree of doctor of medicine in 1926. He took three years post graduate work in the Columbia hospital in Milwaukee, Wis; two years in general practice and specializing in blood transfusions. On June 7th, 1929 he was married to Miss Ruth McDonald. He was a member of the M. E. church of this place, of the Phi Roe Sigma Medical fraternity, of the American Medical Ass’n., of the Milwaukee Co. Medical Ass’n. and of Hiram Lodge No. 52, A.F. and A.M. of Arlington. The Masonic lodge had charge of the services at the grave, the ritual service being conducted by his brother, Rhea Gilfry, who is a Past Master of the Benson Masonic lodge. All of the Masonic work of the deceased had been taken under his brother. Besides the wife, the survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gilfry of Arlington and one brother, Rhea Gilfry of Benson. Interment was made in the Arlington cemetery.
