#1 December 11, 1930 - The Enterprise

ARLINGTON NOTES

Mrs. Chas. Williams died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna Clark, in Albion on Saturday afternoon at two o’clock. The body was brought to Arlington Monday, and funeral services were conducted at the M. E. church at three o’clock by Rev. Adrian J. Edgar. Mrs. Williams suffered a stroke on Thanksgiving day here at her home in Arlington, and was later taken to her daughter’s home in Albion. The deceased was 84 years of age, and was among the early settlers of this place. She is survived by two sons, Guy of Deadwood, S. D. and Blanch of Missouri Valley, Iowa, two daughters, Mrs. Edna Clark of Albion and Mrs. Ethel Monzini of Chicago. Interment was made in the Arlington cemetery.

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Methodist church for Mrs. Chas. Williams, who died Saturday, at the home of her daughter. Mrs. F. E. Clark, in Albion. Mrs. Williams suffered a paralytic stroke at her home here in Arlington Thanksgiving day and last Monday was moved to Albion.

Mrs. Williams, formerly Miss Marietta Willcuts, was born January, 1847 at Newport, Ind., and was of Quaker faith. In 1864 she was married to William Williams at Fountain City, Ind., and in 1873 they moved to this place. Sixteen years later Mr. Williams died and in 1891 Mrs. Williams was married to Chas Williams, who died over 30 years ago.

Four children born to the first union; all survive: B. O. Williams of Missouri Valley, Ia., Guy Williams of Deadwood S. D.; Mrs. Ethel Mozini of Chicago; and Mrs. Edna Clark of Albion. The services were conducted by Rev. Adrian J. Edgar and interment was made in the Arlington cemetery.
