Mrs. Franke’s Rites Wednesday

Services for Mrs. Wilhelmine Franke, 92, Fremont, were held Wednesday at the Salem Lutheran Church. Rev. Otto Spehr officiated.

Mrs. Franke was born November 14, 1876, at Mundelsheim, Germany. She died Sunday morning.

She was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Rosina Kampf. She came to Nebraska at the age of 18, settling in Pender. A year later she moved to Fontanelle where she resided until 1944, at which time she moved to Fremont.

She was married to George Franke, December 22, 1897, at the Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle. He preceded her in death December 1, 1935. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, her parents, three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by two daughters, Wilhelmine and Helen, both of Fremont; three sons, George of Nickerson, Chester of Scottsbluff and Herbert of Hooper; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was made in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
