Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Carl M. Fransen, 75, of the Herman area who had died at his home last Saturday, July 13th.

The deceased was born at Blair on November 28, 1892, and had spent his entire life in the Blair and Herman areas. He was a farmer by vocation, operating a farm four miles south of Herman adjoining Highway 73.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie. The couple had no children. No brothers or sisters survive Mr. Fransen.

Funeral services were held at the Herman Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon, July 16th with Rev., Zack Kleinsasser conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were August Lowe, William Peck, Chris Korshoj, Gudmond Sorensen, Alton Jensen and Howard Fink.
