Mrs. Mabel Fransen died at her home, November 7, 1976, at the age of 79. She had been a long-time resident of Washington County.

Funeral services were November 9, 1976, at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Fransen was born in Washington County, July 14, 1897. She resided northwest of Blair before moving into the city of Blair. She lived at 721 North 15th in Blair at the time of her death.

Mrs. Fransen is survived by one son, Vernon Mathiesen of Blair, two grandchildren, Gary and Roger Mathiesen, and four great-grandchildren.

Reverend Albers of First Lutheran Church officiated at the services. Gary Mathiesen, Roger Mathiesen, Larry Hipnar, Lloyd Wright, Norman Van Beck, and Alvin Andersen were pallbearers at the services.

Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair handled the arrangements.
