LAVINA McEVERS

Lavina McEvers, formerly a resident of Blair, but for the past ten years a resident of Independence, Mo., passed away at her home in that city on March 9, 1931.

She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa Sept. 27, 1852, and was married to Elisha McEvers in 1867. To them twelve children were born, four of whom preceded her in death. Of the remaining children, one daughter, Mrs. D. A. Phillips, is a resident of Blair.

The body was brought for interment, and the funeral services were held from the home of her daughter at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Carl Sels of Omaha officiating, and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.
