Fred Fransen, 73

Died At Hospital Early Wednesday

Fred Fransen, a resident of 721 No. 15 Street, died early Wednesday at Community Memorial Hospital in Blair. He had been a life-time resident of Washington County.

He was born at Kennard July 9, 1897, and for many years had been a maintenance engineer in Omaha. In recent years he had been retired.

He is survived by his wife, Mable, and by two daughters and four sons.

The daughters are Mrs. Rosa Lee Harmon and Mrs. Byrdene Terry, both of Buhl, Idaho.

The sons are Pete Fransen, of Atchison, Kansas, Virgil Fransen, of Salina, Kansas, Derrill Fransen, of Tacoma, Washington, and Vernon Mathiesen, of Herman, Nebr.

There are 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Clarence Christiansen and a sister, Mrs. Elna Merriman live at Forest Grove, Oregon. Other sisters are Mrs. Sena Hansen, of Bartley, Nebraska; Mrs. Cleo Connell, of Tryon, Nebraska; Mrs. Lilly Chamberlain, of Nebraska City and Mrs. Elfreda Hansen of Herman, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held at the Bendorf Funeral Home this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 P.M. and committal will be made in Buhl, Idaho.
