#1-William Meierhenry Dies Suddenly

Native of County, 67, Died Thursday – Services Held Sunday

William Meierhenry, 67, native and for most of his live, a resident of western Washington county died suddenly last Thursday afternoon at his farm home, nine miles north of Arlington.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the home, followed at 3 o’clock by services at the Telbasta Evangelical church. The Rev. Ezra Sohl of Milford officiated, assisted by the Rev. Nathan Thomas of Winslow. Interment was in Telbasta cemetery. Pallbearers, all nephews of Mr. Meierhenry, were Walter Wiegert, Oscar Wegner, Raymond Breehline, Dee Schiefelbein, Howard Meierhenry and Walter Meierhenry. Funeral music was furnished by the Fontanelle male quartet.

Mr. Meierhenry was born in the Telbasta neighborhood February 28, 1874, and later resided in Fremont 15 years before moving to the farm where he spent the remainder of his life. In 1900 he was married to Miss Lydia Frey. To them were born three daughters, one of whom preceeded him in death.

Surviving Mr. Meierhenry are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lee Harrison of Fremont and Mrs. Walter Rathe of Arlington; four brothers, Henry Meierhenry of Blair, Gus and Fred of Arlington, and Ed of Fremont; one sister, Mrs. Marie Brechlin, Fremont; four grandchildren, and other relatives.

WM. MEIERHENRY DIES SUDDENLY

Wm. Meierhenry, living about four miles west of Rose Hill, died suddenly at his home last Thursday afternoon. He had been in his usual health up until that morning when the end came.

Deceased was born in the vicinity of his death on February 28th, 1874, and with the exception of fifteen years spent in Fremont, he had spent his entire life in this county.

Funeral services were held Sunday, conducted by Rev. Ezra Sohl of Milford, assisted by Rev. Nathan Thomas of Winslow. Services were held at 2:30 from the home and at 3 o’clock from the Telbasta Evangelical church, and interment was made in the Telbasta cemetery.
