The family moved to Blair in March, 1888, and since that time have made this their home.

On April 29, 1930 the husband passed away, and the wife was left alone, but was looked after with the most devoted attention as long as she lived, and every attention was given to her comfort in her declining years.

The last sad rites were held Monday, March 2nd at 10 o’clock a.m. at the Baptist church of which she was a consistent member, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery beside the husband who had passed on before.

As a token of love and respect every child was present, and a large number of friends and relatives from a distance lent their presence and their sympathy to the bereaved family. Among the relatives from out of town were Mrs. Gail McMonies, Walter White, Arthur Dewin, all of Omaha and Mrs. Ella B. Lewton of Lincoln.
