#1-26 Mar., 1903 - The Pilot - Lars Hansen

Lars Hansen, living east of town, died on last Tuesday after suffering many years with the asthma. Mr. Hansen had just returned from California where he had been for the benefit of his health. He was buried Saturday in the Danish cemetery.

Died at his home 3 ½ miles south of Kennard, at 7 a.m., March 18, Lars Hansen, aged 62 years, 5 months, 1 days. Deceased was followed to the grave at the Danish cemetery on Saturday at 1 p.m., by about 100 carriages and buggies of friends and relatives. Mr. Hansen came to this country from Denmark in 1866 and in 1872 settled on the farm where he died. He had been afflicted with asthma for about fifteen years causing his death. He had a farm of 360 acres, and leaves his wife and son Albert, and daughter, Mrs. J. H. Jensen, and seven grandchildren to mourn his death.

#3-26 Mar., 1903 - Blair Courier - Lars Hansen

Lars Hansen died at his home on the farm early last Wednesday morning, and the funeral was held at the house at 1 o’clock on Saturday. He came from Denmark to Omaha in 1868, and for several years did blacksmithing there. Some twenty eight years ago he moved onto a farm about four miles south of Kennard, and interment was made in the cemetery near this place. He was 61 years of age and leaves a wife, a son, Albert, and one daughter, Mrs. Jas. Jensen.
