Charles Louis Allen
Died on 11/24/1971

Charles Louis Allen, a resident of 1370 Lincoln Street for many years, died at Memorial Community Hospital Thanksgiving Day. He had been in failing health for several years.

He was born at Walthill, Nebraska April 5, 1907. As a young man he became a salesman to food stores specializing in the sale of meats. He has been retired for several years.

He was married to Helga Molvig who survives her husband.

Other survivers are three daughters: Mrs. Wayne Petersen (Diana) of Omaha; Mrs. Sherman Gosker (May Lou) of Arlington and Mrs. Harry Prochnow (Calistta) of Havana, Illinois.

Waine Allen of Blair is a brother and Mrs. Floyd (Nettie) Nottleman of Blair is a sister. Emmett Allen, also a brother, resides at Sioux City, Iowa. The deceased's mother, Mrs. Mary Gesch, also lives in Blair. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. Mary's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert Bee conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Walthill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clarence Schriner, Roland Hineline, Kenneth Hineline, Norman Rogert, William Williby and Dale Stricklett.
