Joan A. Frazee, 74

Joan A. Frazee, 74, of Fremont, died Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 2, at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Interment was in Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery.

Joan A. Kuba was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Melvin and Leona (Soya) Kuba. During her childhood years, her family lived in Cedar Rapids and Marshalltown, Iowa, and in Keokuk, Iowa, where she graduated from high school.

On Sept. 3, 1950, she married Robert L. Frazee in Keokuk. They lived in Des Moines, Iowa, and Red Oak, Iowa, before moving to Fremont in 1968.

In Red Oak, Mrs. Frazee worked as a nurse’s aide. In Fremont, she also worked as a nurse’s aide at Arbor Manor, and also had worked for Fremont Sanitation and Hammond Stephens Co. Over the past several years, she had operated a day care in her home.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Jean and James Shores of Blair, Kathy Casper of Fremont, Robin Frazee of Denver, Colo., and Patti Frazee and partner, Marian Martin Moran of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sons, Robert Frazee of Fremont and Joseph Frazee of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Don VerDught of Kahoka, MO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1985, and by an infant twin sister, Jean.
