P. H. SUVERKRUBBE Mr. Peter Henry Suverkrubbe, aged 82 years, passed away Sunday, December 21 at his home following a heart attack from which he suffered since Wednesday, Dec. 17th.

Deceased was born in Germany in 1848, and came to America in 1869. In 1873 he married Catherine Lamp and settled on a farm south of Kennard where they resided for three years when they moved to the farm south of the Wranch school where they spent the remainder of their lives.

To Mr. and Mrs. Suverkrubbe thirteen children were born, eleven of whom survive: Henry and Carl of Irvington, Wyo., John and Julius of Bennington; Gus and Albert of Ft. Calhoun; Mrs. Wm. Kruse of Florence; Frank of Lynch, Neb; Mrs. J. W. Starr of Wheatland, Wyo. and Otto of Onida, S. D.

The funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the home with Rev. Gloede of Fontanelle officiating, and interment was made in the German cemetery in the southern part of the county.

Thus, another early settler has passed from our midst. Another of those who through the hardships and privations of those early days helped to bring about a different order of things that we of today are enjoying.
