FORMER COUNTY BOY DIES AT SPRINGFIELD

Funeral services were held at the Church of God in this city for Christian William Petersen of Springfield, Neb. on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 23, at two o’clock. Richard LeCrone of Omaha was the officiating pastor.

The deceased was the son of F. C. C. Petersen who resides two miles southwest of Blair. He passed away Dec. 20, after having been ill at his home eleven days with erysipelas.

The deceased was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa April 23. 1890, and was past forty years of age at the time of his death. He was married to Rose May Hoeratth April 8, 1914 at Benson and is survived by his wife and five children. Other surviving relatives are his father, Two brothers, L. Jorgen Petersen of Kimballton, Ia., Walter of Blair, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Thompson of Blair, Mrs. Matilda Hart of Kirkman, Ia., and Amanda of Blair.

He was engaged in farming his entire lifetime, and lived in Blair and Kennard before moving to Springfield where he resided thirteen years.

He became a member of the Church of God in 1916.
