Peggy Lee Petersen 6-19-1953 – 5-21-2018

Peggy L. Petersen age 64 of Fontanelle, NE formerly Fremont, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at her home. Peggy was born June 10, 1953 at Norfolk, NE to Howard C. and Maryann (Kint) Soden.

She grew up in Wisner, NE and graduated from Wisner/Pilger High School and then attended Bahners Beauty School in Fremont. Peggy married Montie Petersen of Sept. 15, 1973 in Wisner. They moved to Wyoming for a short time and then back to Fremont. In 1984 they moved to the farm north of Fremont. In March of 2018 they sold the farm and moved to Fontanelle.

With her husband they owned Birchwood Stables where they raised, trained and rented horses. She was fond of black & white horses especially Spirit, Whisper & Lucky. Her cat Gizmo was never far from her. She was the rock of the family and was very caring and supportive, but opinionated always. She spoke her mind and could always be counted on to be there.

Survived by her husband, Montie; daughter Christine (Troy) Taylor all of Fontanelle,; son Clint A. Petersen of Fremont; 5 grandchildren, Spencer, Montana, Brandon, Craig and Nathan. 7 great grandchildren, Ruby, Liam, Eden, Klaire, Kaelynn, Elliott and Ella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth Petersen and her husbands parents, John & Glee Petersen. Memorial Service 10:30 AM. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Scott Jensen will officiate Memorial visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8 PM and family will receive friends from 6-8 PM all at Moser's in Fremont.
