Schafer, Louis C., Age 89, Dec. 11, 2011 Midlothian, VA, formerly of Omaha and Fort Calhoun, NE. He was preceded in death by wife, Ida Schafer, and son, William J. Schafer. A World War II Navy veteran, Louis was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club International. He is survived by son, Dr. Richard Schafer (Jean), Corpus Christi, TX, daughters, Catherine Brisby (Joseph), Midlothian, VA, Therese Comyns, Philadelphia, PA, daughter-in-law Cindy Babcock, Minneapolis; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Louis' longtime wish to donate his body for medical research was honored by his family.
