OLD SETTLER OF COUNTY GONE

Funeral services were held at Fremont March 11 for Mrs. Anna S. Olson, an old settler of Washington County, whose death occurred at Seattle, Wash. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Christine Johnson, at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Olson was a native of Sweden, coming to the United Stated in Sept., 1871 to meet her husband, Swen Olson, who had come a few months previous. They first lived in Omaha, and then came to Washington county where they made their home and endured the hardships of the early settlers.

Mr. Olson died Feb. 14, 1898, and Mrs. Olson went out to the state of Washington to live with her son, Albert, now deceased. In 1923 she went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Johnson. Other children are Mrs. Edith Hartelius of Seattle, Otto H. Olson of Craig and Ed T. Olson of Fremont.
