MRS. PETER J. NELSON

Mrs. Peter J. Nelson (nee Caroline Pedersen) was born in Buum in northern Jutland, Denmark on the 6th of Oct., 1868, and passed away at her home, 306 South St. Dec. 16th, 1932 at the age of 64 yrs., 2 mo. and 10 days. Mrs. Nelson emigrated to America, coming to Blair in 1890. She was married on Oct. 10th of that year to Mr. Peter Nelson of Kennard.

To this union nine children were born, one daughter, Selma Kaldahl, preceding her in death two years ago. Those left to mourn her loss are: James of El Centro, Calif; Hulda Pughsley of Muskegon, Mich; Cora Mortensen of Omaha; Fred, Theodore, Anna Jensen, and Alfred, living in and around Blair. Twelve grandchildren also survive her.

A host of friends attended the funeral services held Monday afternoon from the First Lutheran Church. Rev. James N. Lund officiating. Interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

MRS. PETER NELSON DIES AT AGE OF 64

NATIVE OF DENMARK DIES AT HOME IN BLAIR ON FRIDAY.

Mrs. Peter J. Nelson, resident of Washington county since 1890, died suddenly near Kennard on Friday, December 16th, at the age of 64 years, two months and 10 days. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson and a son, Alfred had gone to Kennard to visit another son, Fred Nelson, and the local woman fell over dead as she stepped from the automobile.

Born in Buum, in northern Jutland. Denmark, on the sixth day of October, 1868, Mrs. Nelson, whose maiden name was Caroline Pedersen, came to America in 1890 and located immediately in Blair. She was married on October 10th of the same year to Mr. Nelson, whose home. was in the Kennard vicinity.

To this union nine children were born, one daughter, Selma Kaldahl, preceding her mother in death two years ago. Those left to mourn her loss are James of El Centro, California, Hulda Pughsley of Muskegon, Michigan, Cora Mortensen of Omaha; Fred, Theodore, Anna Jensen and Alfred, all of whom live in and around Blair, and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Nelson were held Monday afternoon from the First Lutheran church, with the pastor, Rev. James N. Lund, officiating. Interment was made in the local cemetery.
