Jacob K Reber
Died on 12/22/1932

#1-29 Dec., 1932 - The Enterprise

Ten years ago Mr. Reber made Crowell Memorial Home of Blair, Nebraska his last temporal home. For the past few years his strength began steadily to fail, and on December 23 he quietly passed on at the age of 96 years, 8 months and 3 days. Jacob Reber was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. During his stay at the Crowell Home he shared his earthly goods with the Home, and helped make possible the J. K. Rebel Memorial, which is an electric passenger elevator serving between three floors of the Home. He is survived by three of his children, Josephine, the eldest daughter of Elmwood, Nebraska; Belle of Hondo, Calif. and William, the youngest son, of Long Beach, California. The interment will be made at Sanborne, Iowa, where he will rest beside his wife.

#2-29 Dec., 1932 - The Enterprise

Jacob K. Reber was born on April 20, 1836 in Center County, Pennsylvania. Later his parents moved to Illinois where he grew into manhood. In 1864 he was united in marriage to Deborah Blair. To this union eight children were born. Four sons and one daughter have preceded their father to their heavenly home. On January 18, 1905, while they were living in Florida, his wife passed on to her eternal reward, leaving Mr. Reber to live the last 27 years of his life alone.
