AUGUST TIMM

August Timm, a resident of Washington county for the past 49 years, died suddenly at his home two miles west of Blair on Monday, Dec. 26 at the age of 87 years and 17 days.

Deceased was born in Schleswig Holstein, Germany, and in his early years served in the German army, taking part in the war between France and Germany in 1870 and 71.

Mr. Timm and his bride, Miss Emma Biber, came to Blair in March, 1884 and were married by County Judge Alonzo Perkins. To this union seven children were born, Henry of Omaha, August and Paul of Arlington, Mrs. Harry Anderson of Craig, Mrs. Torvald Hansen of Blair and Mary and Carl at home. These, with the aged wife and thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild, are left to mourn his sudden death.

He was the last of his immediate family to go.

The funeral services are to be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist church, and interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
