Mrs. Sarah McDonald, age 72 years, former resident of this place, died at her home in Fremont early Sunday morning following an illness of only three days’ duration. Mrs. McDonald was a well known resident of this place, making her home here with her daughter, Mrs. A. O. Hawkins, for a period of ten years, and moving to Fremont about two years ago. Definite funeral arrangements have not been completed, pending word from her son in California. There will be a service in Fremont, and the remains will be taken to her old home at Winterset, Ia. for burial. Her survivors are a daughter, Mrs. A. O. Hawkins of this place; a son, Sam L. McDonald of San Diego, Calif; one granddaughter, one grandson, a great granddaughter and two sisters, Mrs. Otis Finney and Mrs. Lulu Blackburn, both of Zanesville, Ohio.
