ALBERT EARWOOD DIES AT AGE OF 76

WOULD HAVE OBSERVED GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY NEXT APRIL

Confined to his home on east South street for the past seven months, Albert Earwood, a long time resident of Blair and vicinity, died at 2:30 Wednesday morning, December 7th. Mr. Earwood's death was not unexpected, his condition having been critical for several days.

Born in Ohio, July 3rd, 1856, Mr. Earwood was 76 years old at the time of his death. He had been a farmer throughout his life, save for the past 12 years, which he has spent in Blair. Mr. Earwood farmed north of Blair for years and later in the vicinity of Modale, Iowa. He also farmed for a time in the West.

Funeral services for Mr. Earwood will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the Methodist church in Blair. Rev. Walter H. Jackson will officiate and burial will be in the Blair cemetery.

Surviving Mr. Earwood are his widow and six children, three sons and three daughters. They are Mrs. G. R. Morrow of Modale; Mrs. S. G. Mahoney of Rockport, Missouri; Mrs. Mary Small of Blair; Tom of Blair, Herbert of Tekamah and Bert of Modale.

A kindly, courteous, friendly man, Mr. Earwood had scores of friends in this vicinity who sympathize with his family in his death. For some time both Mr. and Mrs. Earwood had looked forward to the celebration of their golden wedding anniversary, which would have been observed in April, 1933, had the former lived.
