DENNA ALBERRY PASSES

Word reached Blair last week that Denna Alberry of the Denberry Finance Corporation of Denver had passed away, and that the body would be brought to Blair, his old home town, for interment.

Deceased was born in Ohio Nov. 8, 1859 so would have been 73 years of age this month. With his parents he came to Blair about fifty years ago, and for years worked for the late L. F. Hilton on the Pilot, and for a number of years while Mr. Hilton served as postmaster, he acted as foreman and general manager of the paper.

About 1893 or ’94 Mr. Hilton sold the Pilot to Perry Selden, and then purchased what is now the Journal Stockman of South Omaha, but Albert did not go with him, but severed his connection with newspaper work and later moved to Denver where he has since conducted a general real estate and insurance business.

He has many old friends here who will grieve over his death. He was a real gentleman, and being well acquainted with him, we cannot but grieve the loss of a true friend. He has been in Blair a number of times since his removal to Denver, and usually made the writer’s home a visit. He was a man of more than ordinary ability, and it was always a red letter day when he made us a call.

He leaves to mourn him the wife and a step daughter, both of Denver, and a brother, Frank of Blair and a sister, Mrs. Charles Rodman of Omaha.

The body arrived in Blair and was taken directly to the cemetery for interment.
