Amelia C. (Hanson) Johnson

Mrs. Amelia Johnson, 58, of Lincoln, long a resident of Washington and Burt counties, died suddenly at Pierre, South Dakota, Wednesday, October 19. Death was due to a heart attack soon after a tonsillectomy. Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of the late H. V. Hansen who settled near Admah, west of here, in 1869. She was a sister of E. P. Hansen, who died in April. She often visited in Herman, and was well known here. Surviving are her husband, Swen Johnson of Lincoln, two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Freeman of Mobridge, South Dakota and Mrs. Lillian Moulton of Omaha. Two sisters, Mrs. R. B. Wilson of Los Angeles, California and Mrs. J. F. Paddleford of Miller, South Dakota. Services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Brailey and Domance chapel in Omaha. Interment was made in Hillcrest cemetery.
