FLORA ELLEN MOORE CALLED Flora Ellen Moore was born March 21, 1866 in Scott County, Iowa near Davenport, and passed away at her home on west Lincoln street in this city on Wednesday, Sept. 28th, of a heart attack.

The family, the late John A. Moore, came to Blair in 1881 and have since that time resided in the home on Lincoln street where the family still resides. The family left Scott county in May, 1866 for Omaha, making the trip from Hannibal, Mo. to St. Jo by rail and then by boat to Omaha.

Later, in 1868, they moved to a farm south of Kennard, and from there to Blair. Miss Moore has all her life been identified with the Baptist church, and has always lived the part. She was one of the always faithful, taking her place wherever she was needed.

Recently her health failed her, and she spent some time in the hospital, but about two months ago was brought to her home where the end came suddenly on Wednesday.

She leaves to mourn her three brothers, John A. and P. S., both of Blair and James H. of Omaha, and two sisters, Miss Olive at home and Mrs. P. D. Correll of Plainview, Nebr.

At this writing the arrangements have not been completed for the funeral.

MISS FLORA MOORE DIES SUDDENLY

HEART ATTACK FATAL TO BLAIR RESIDENT FOR PAST 51 YEARS

Victim of a sudden heart attack, Miss Flora Moore, a resident of Blair since 1881, died at her home on west Lincoln street where she had lived for 51 years, Wednesday afternoon. Her death came as a shock to the community for, although she had been in poor health for several months, it was generally believed that her condition was improving.

Miss Moore was born March 21, 1866, in Scott County, Iowa near Davenport, and in May of that year, with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Moore, came to Omaha. The trip from Davenport to Hannibal, Missouri, was made by steamboat, from Hannibal to St. Joseph by rail and from there by steamboat to Omaha.

On November 15th, 1868, the Moore family moved from Omaha to a farm one and one-half miles south of Kennard. In the spring of 1881 they moved to Blair, establishing their home in the west Lincoln street house.

Following an attack of illness several months ago, Miss Moore was taken to a hospital but she had returned home two months ago and since that time her health had improved considerably.

Surviving Miss Moore are three brothers, P. S. and John A. of Blair, and James H. Moore of Omaha, and two sisters, Mrs. P. D. Correll of Plainview and Ollie, of Blair, with whom the deceased had lived for years.
