CLARA ELFRIEDA BERTELSEN

Clara Elfrieda Bertelsen was born Sept. 12, 1914 at Sidney, Montana, and spent her childhood days there. At the age of twelve years she moved with her parents to Blair.

In May, 1928 she was confirmed at the First Lutheran Church where she has been a faithful member of the Young People’s Society and of the choir. She graduated from Blair High School last May.

On Sept. 6th she had her tonsils removed, and complications set in from which she did not recover. She departed this life Sunday, Sept. 25th, just 8 months after the death of her brother, Arnold.

She leaves to mourn her early departure her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Bertelsen, two brothers, Chester and Vernon and two sisters, Emma and Nina, besides a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 26th at First Lutheran Church, Rev. James N. Lund officiating. Music was furnished by the church choir. Interment at Blair cemetery.
