MRS. SOPHIE GOSKER

Mrs. Sophie Gosker, a Washington county resident for forty seven years, passed away at the home of her son, Ernest, at Herman, Nebr. last Wednesday morning, Sept. 14th, at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 27 days. She had suffered with heart trouble for three months.

Services were held at the Bell Creek church Friday at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Moeller of Hooper, Nebr. officiating, and she was laid to rest in the Telbasta cemetery by the side of her husband whose death occurred March 7, 1928.

Sophie Trachte was born Jan. 18, 1867 in Grossemarpe, Westphalia, Germany, where she grew to womanhood, and was married Sept. 21. 1885 to Frederick Gosker. They came to America immediately afterward, settling on a farm in the Telbasta neighborhood where three children were born to them, one son, Frederick, dying at the age of seven years. Those left to mourn her departure are one son, Ernest H., and one daughter, Mrs. Emma Rogert, both of Herman, Nebr., seven grandchildren and one sister in Germany.

Mrs. Gosker was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was a faithful member of that church until her death.
