MRS. THOMAS CHRISTIANSEN

Mrs. Thomas Christiansen, an early settler in this county, passed away at the hospital in Norfolk on Monday, June 27, 1932. Deceased was born in Denmark July 24, 1867, and came to this county in her young womanhood.

After coming to the county, she met and married Thomas Christiansen, and to this union five children were born, all of whom, with the husband, survive her. They are Chris, Alex and Seward of Potter, Nebr.; Carl of Lincoln and Mrs Agnes Honeywell of Persia, Iowa.

The funeral services were held last Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Danish Lutheran church in Blair, and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Rites Held at Cemetery for Former Local Woman

Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the First Lutheran church for Mrs. Thomas Christensen who died at Norfolk, June 27th. Mrs. Christensen, nee Metta Marie Trandberg, was born in Denmark July 24th, 1867, where she spent her girlhood years. In early womanhood she emigrated to America, making her home in Blair.

In 1896 she was united in marriage to Thomas Christensen, who survives her. She is also survived by her five children: Christian, Alex, Cal, Sigward and Agnes. Her aged father, Mr. Trandberg, 99 years old, formerly of Blair, also survives her. Burial was in the Blair cemetery. Mr. Christensen and two of his sons are now located at Kimball, Nebr., where they are engaged in farming.
