Hans Christoffersen of the Spiker neighborhood passed away April 27 following a weeks illness, aged 76 years, 2 months and 23 days.

Deceased was born in Maglebye, Denmark where he grew to manhood. In 1882 he emigrated to America, and on March 2, 1889 he was married to Marie Sorensen, and after their marriage they moved to the farm near Spiker and took up farming.

To Mr. and Mrs. Christoffersen six children were born, Chris and Otto of Herman; Morse of Powell, Wyoming; Mrs. Anna Follen of Blair and Mrs. Hannah Andreasen of Orum and Fred of Spiker, who besides the aged wife and several brothers sisters, mourn the death of a kind and tender husband, father and brother.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home and later at the Orum Lutheran church, and interment was made in the Orum cemetery. Rev. Hans Jersild officiating at the ceremonies, and the music was furnished by the Dana College Arion Quartette.
