Doris F. McCune, 93 years, of Fremont, NE died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Hooper Care Center in Hooper, NE. Doris was born June 17, 1924 in Glenville, NE to Rant and Margaret (Dudden) Goldenstein.

Doris married Harvey McCune on August 15, 1943 in Glenville, NE. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2010. They moved to Holyoke, Colorado after their marriage and lived there until moving to Fremont in 2011. She moved to Hooper in 2013.

She was a very active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amherst, Colorado. She loved spending time and enjoying farm life along with gardening, growing vegetables and flowers.

She is survived by her son, Byron and wife, Roma McCune of Arlington; and grandson, Jeff and wife, Sara McCune and their children Joshua and Callie of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert McCune and brothers, LaVerne Goldenstein and Bob Goldenstein.

There will be no local services. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is assisting the family with making arrangements with Baucke Funeral Home in Holyoke, Colorado for the funeral service that will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amherst, Colorado. Burial will be at Holyoke Cemetery in Holyoke, Colorado.
