Delores I. Lindberg September 18, 1931 – February 20, 2019

Delores I. Lindberg was born September 18, 1931 in Kennard, Nebraska. She was one of seven children born to Paul and Lillie (Pettit) Noel. She passed away February 20, 2019 at Oakland Heights in Oakland, Nebraska.

During her childhood, they lived in Burt County, in the farming community. Delores attended her freshman year of high school in Tekamah, and then attended Craig High School, graduating in 1950.

On December 12, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert L Lindberg. To this union one child was born, Rick Lindberg. Delores and Bob lived all their married life in Burt County farming and operating Lindberg Garage. They settled in Craig where Delores was bookkeeper for the Craig Telephone office, Lindberg Garage and the City of Craig. She also enjoyed working as a bartender and always loved to visit with the local patrons.

After the passing of her husband in 1995, Delores moved to the Village apartments in Tekamah where she resided for over 24 years. She was a resident at Oakland Heights for only a short time before her passing.

She enjoyed her dog Toby, playing cards and watching sports on TV. The past few years though, her favorite thing was to sit and watch all the birds that came to her feeders throughout the day.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant grandson, Douglas Lindberg; brothers, Don and Virgil Noel; sisters, Myrna Morgan, Vera Lindberg and Donna Thiefoldt Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Vicki) Lindberg of Craig; grandsons, Rob Lindberg of Oakland, Curt (Heidi) Lindberg of Tekamah; granddaughter, Katie (Rob) Tiedeman of Malcolm, NE; great-grandchildren, Riley, Greta, Garret and Jace Lindberg, Cole and Morgan Tiedeman; sister, Myrt Haeffner of Decatur; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service: Friday: 8 March 10:30 AM at Pelan Funeral Home—Oakland, NE

Burial: Craig Cemetery, Craig, NE
